Come learn about Tanabata and its associated constellations at a special show produced in collaboration with the H.R. MacMillan Space Centre. Miho Wakai, a UBC Physics Grad Student, will guide us through the story of Tanabata and the legend of star-crossed lovers with special visuals by curator Raymond Nakamura. This presentation is adapted for the Space Centre’s portable planetarium that can fit up to 30 people at a time. Please sign up at least 10 minutes in advance at the Japanese Hall.

Miho Wakai (she/her/hers) is a PhD student at University of British Columbia. Her research involves searching for dark matter at the Belle II experiment located in Tsukuba, Japan.
ワカイミホ（ジェンダー代名詞は she）はブリティッシュ・コロンビア大学博士課程の学生です。彼女は、日本のつくば市にある Belle II（ベル・ツー）測定器での暗黒物質の探索研究に携わっています。 

Raymond Nakamura, Ph.D., is a third generation Japanese Canadian and author of the picture book Peach Girl. He develops educational materials and posts daily cartoons @raymondsbrain on Instagram (www.raymondsbrain.com).
