Join us on Wednesday, July 26 from 1pm to 2pm at Oppenheimer Park for a free workshop on making Omamori!

Lead by instructor Midori Ueno, the workshop is about making community-well-wishing charms in preparation for the Festival weekend. Join us in writing good wishes, adding auspicious gems and medicines, stitching beautiful packets, and learning to tie kanou musubi to assemble Omamori.

You can take one home and also contribute to the Omamori that will be distributed during Michiyo Kagami’s Shishimai procession at the opening of the Festival on Saturday at 12:30 pm.

No experience necessary. All ages welcome.
