Come play a game of ball as we commemorate the historic Vancouver Asahi: the legendary Japanese-Canadian baseball team who played in the Powell Street Area and made strides in the sport while impacting Canadian history and citizenship rights.
The Vancouver Asahi Tribute Game is a free, inclusive, and family-friendly place to play ball, enjoy hot dogs and corn, and come together for some summer fun! Everyone of all ages and skill-levels are welcome! Read more about this annual event here, or our other Community Care programming here.
This event is hosted by Powell Street Festival Society and the Advocacy and Outreach Committee with support from Oppenheimer Park & Carnegie Community Centre, and the Vancouver Japanese Language School & Japanese Hall.
