Tonari Gumi’s popular JAZZ NIGHT will take place on Saturday, May 31, from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Tonari Gumi’s new building at 42 West 8th Avenue in Vancouver. Doors open at 6:30 pm. The evening will consist of an exciting program of jazz music, featuring professional and semi-professional musicians from Canada and Japan.

Featured performers will include guitar virtuoso, Yujiro Nakajima; the Ikuko Trio with Wayne Soon (house band for the evening); Return of the Pastafarian and vocalist, Angela Verbrugge.

Tickets are $20 for general admission and $15 for seniors and students. Tickets may be purchased directly from Tonari Gumi or on-line via Paypal. All proceeds from the Jazz Night will go to Tonari Gumi’s “Making It A Home Fund” to complete funding of their new facilities. Come and enjoy a memorable evening of top-quality jazz music and help to strengthen the services available to seniors and others needing help within the Japanese Canadian community.
