Tamami Maitland Trio consists of vocals/keys, a bass, and drums. Maitland’s original songs are written in English and Japanese with a style interspersed across jazz, R&B, and soul: soothing, groovy, melodic, and rich in harmony. Through her songs, she hopes to send a message that connects with people and encourages them to stay positive. 

Tamami Maitland is a singer-songwriter and jazz pianist based in Vancouver B.C., with an extensive jazz education received from Berklee College of Music and Capilano University. Growing up in Japan, she was influenced by Japanese culture and poetry. The lyrics of her songs are often related to nature, the seasons, and love, akin to traditional Japanese poetry.

バンクーバーBC州を拠点に活動するシンガー・ソングライター、ジャズ・ピアニストのタマミ・メイトランドは、バークリー音楽大学とキャピラノ大学でジャズ教育を受けました。日本で育った彼女は、日本の文化や詩歌に影響を受けました。彼女の曲の歌詞は、日本の伝統的な詩のように、自然、季節、愛に関連したものが多いです。
