Festival visitors are encouraged to take part in this exciting competition. To win, you must force your opponent out of the circle! But if you get forced out – or if any of your body parts other than the soles of your feet touch the dohyo (ring) – you lose! There will be two categories determined by skill and weight, all genders welcome.  Pre-registration required. On Sunday, register in the southeast corner of Oppenheimer Park between 11:30 and 1 pm.

ハラハラ、ワクワクの相撲トーナメントにぜひ参加しませんか？勝利するためには、相手を土俵から押し出さなければなりません！ただし、もし自分が押し出されたり、足の裏以外の体の部位が土俵に触れた場合は負けとなります。スキルと体重に応じて2つのカテゴリーが設けられており、どんな性別の方でも歓迎です。参加には、事前登録が必要です。オッペンハイマー公園の南東角にて、日曜日の午後11時30分から午後1時の間にお申し込みください。 

この相撲トーナメントはバンクーバー相撲ファンクラブが発祥で、現在は相撲サンディーズが主催しています。司会進行はローラ・フクモトさんが担当いたします。
