Join Okinawan Sanshin master craftsman, certified Sanshin instructor, and musician Hitoshi Kiyomura for a Sanshin Open House where participants can explore all aspects of the Sanshin. Activities include Sanshin deconstruction and construction demonstrations, hands-on tryouts, repairs, and a Miyako min’yō sing-along session. 

Hitoshi Kiyomura was born on Tarama Island in the Miyako Archipelago of Okinawa, Japan. He is a master Sanshin craftsman and a certified Sanshin instructor with the Nomura School Preservation Society of Ryukyuan Classical Music.  

沖縄出身の三線職人で、公認指導者・演奏家でもある喜村 斉（きよむら ひとし）氏を迎えて開催する三線オープンハウスは、三線のあらゆる魅力を体験できる絶好の機会です。三線の分解・組み立ての実演、実際に楽器に触れて弾いてみる体験コーナー、三線の修理のほか、宮古民謡を一緒に歌うなど、盛りだくさんの内容でお届けします。 

清村 斉：沖縄県宮古諸島の多良間島（たらまじま）出身。三線職人であり、琉球古典音楽野村流保存会の公認指導者としても活躍しています。
