Paueru Gai Ondo is a community-based song and dance created to honour the history of the Powell Street neighbourhood and celebrate our Japanese Canadian community. Join us as we celebrate the Powell Street Festival’s 50th year of community and reunion. This Ondo was created by Vancouver Taiko Society members Shinobu Homma, Steve Kubota, Masami Hanashiro, Anny Lin, Noriko Kobayashi and John Endo Greenaway.

「パウエル街音頭」は、パウエル街の歴史を称え、日系カナダ人コミュニティーを祝うために創作された、地域に根差した歌と踊りです。パウエル祭が迎える50周年のコミュニティの絆と再会を祝うこの機会に、ぜひご参加ください。この音頭は、Vancouver Taiko Societyのメンバーである本間しのぶ、スティーブ・クボタ、花城正美、アニー・リン、小林紀子、ジョン・遠藤・グリーナウェイの各氏によって制作されました。
