Told through archival research and oral histories with temple members, survivors, and descendants of founders, LTOTP preserves the temple’s legacy as a pillar of faith, culture, and resilience. Join writer and researcher Megan Kiyoko Wray alongside temple president Harvey Kaita to hear how they brought this community history to life. 

About the Authors: Author Megan Kiyoko Wray and project lead Harvey Kaita created Little Temple on the Prairie with illustrator Brynne Takeuchi Monterrosa and creative consultant Robert Miyai. The book was shaped by the stories of twenty oral history participants from the Manitoba Buddhist Temple community.
