APPARE Yosakoi Vancouver is the only Japanese traditional dance (yosakoi) team in BC. We have members whose backgrounds are diverse. We dance to light up the city of rain and bring energy, joy and smiles to the people here. Yosakoi connects you all regardless of your language, appearance or culture. The three important keywords of our team are “Smile”, “Shout” and “Enjoy”. A word “APPARE” means “Clear the sky” and “Bravo” in Japanese!!! Yosakoi originally came from a small region called Kochi, Japan. It’s been loved not only all across Japan but also everywhere in the world.  We promise you will get a bunch of energy!! あっぱれよさこいは、BC州で唯一の「よさこい」のチームです。このグループは様々なメンバーで構成されており、雨の多いこの街を明るくし、人々にエネルギー、喜び、そして笑顔を届けるために踊っています。よさこいは、言語、外見、文化に関係なく皆をつなぎます。私たちのチームの重要なキーワードは「笑顔」、「叫び」、そして「楽しむ」です。「あっぱれ」という言葉は、「空を晴れ渡らせる」と「素晴らしい」を意味します。よさこいは元々、日本の小さな都市、高知から始まりました。よさこいは日本中だけでなく、世界中で愛されてきました。私たちのパフォーマンスで、たくさんのエネルギーを感じていただけることをお約束します！笑顔で、叫んで、私たちと一緒に楽しみましょう！もしパフォーマンスを楽しんでいただけたら、「あっぱれ」と叫んでください！
