Pre-Festival Art Workshops

Join us on Tuesdays in July, from 1pm to 3pm for pre-festival workshops in Oppenheimer Park! All materials will be provided. No experience necessary. All ages welcome.  

• July 8: Button Making 

• July 15: Omamori making**

• July 22: Daruma Painting 

** Not familiar with Omamori? Led by instructor Midori Ueno, the workshop is about making community-well-wishing charms. Join us in writing well-wishes, adding auspicious gems and medicines, stitching beautiful packets, and learning to tie kanou musubi to assemble Omamori. You can take one home (of course)!
