Thank you to everyone who came out to the 49th Annual Powell Street Festival! We were glad to welcome so many people to Oppenheimer Park and nearby venues for a weekend full of performances, food, art, and community connection.

This year’s festival featured over 60 events and 40 performances, including taiko, live music, dance, sumo, and martial arts. Cultural activities like tea ceremonies and mikoshi processions offered moments of both tradition and fun.

The return of the Amateur Sumo Tournament, the Children’s Tent, and hands-on workshops brought energy across all ages. Visitors also explored contemporary installations like The Big Print Project.

We also hit a new milestone — lottery tickets sold out for the first time in the festival’s 49-year history!

Thank you to all the artists, vendors, volunteers, and attendees who made this year’s festival a success. We look forward to celebrating our 50th anniversary with you in 2026.
