The Powell Street Festival takes place on the traditional, unceded and occupied territories of the Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh), and xʷməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam) Nations.

Bing Thom’s generous spirit and community sensibility permeates his firm and PSFS has benefited immensely. In an unique partnership to host the 2016 Design Competition, BTA used their goodwill within their industry to bring support to the 40th Powell Street Festival. It was a big gesture that has had positive impact on PSFS’s sustainability and plans for the future.
