Join PSFS and our Advocacy and Outreach Committee under the spring cherry blossoms for a hot meal of Japanese curry rice and a community art project of cherry blossom wish making. Fold your hopes and wishes into paper craft cherry blossoms and take part in a collective art project! All materials provided.
Hanami is our annual spring event to celebrate the cherry blossom season. Each year we present a different cultural offering in addition to a free community Japanese curry lunch. Read about our full suite of year-round community care programming.
Location
Hanami will take place at Oppenheimer Park, in Vancouver’s Paueru Gai (Downtown Eastside) area. Located on the 400-block of Powell Street, between Dunlevy and Jackson Ave, Oppenheimer Park is also the site of our annual Powell Street Festival.
