TOW Canada Tour 2025

PSFS is thrilled to announce that TOW, the acclaimed acoustic duo from Japan, will embark on their first-ever Canada tour in November 2025.

TOW will bring their uniquely cinematic sound to three cities in British Columbia:

Blending voice, guitar, and accordion, TOW’s music is celebrated for its ethereal, story-like quality. Some performances also incorporate live visuals and narration, creating a deeply immersive experience that connects audiences across cultures. The Canada Tour also coincides with TOW’s work on the soundtrack for the forthcoming action-adventure game Glaciered by Studio Snowblind.

About TOW

TOW is an acoustic band from the Tokyo area whose music and presence evokes ancient Japanese scenery, yet is equally their own. The core of the ensemble includes Nue, vocalist and accordion player, whose strong, clear voice transports listeners to unknown places, and Kai on guitar, weaving songs with an emotional sensibility that invites the audience into a spiral of dynamics.

TOW has appeared as regular performers at events produced by MoreThanMusic, respected Tokyo music curators, been interviewed by Tokyo Weekender, a popular English magazine, as well as appearing regularly in traditional performing arts contexts.
In 2021 they created the soundtrack and theme song for the Nintendo Switch/PC game Sumire no Sora, developed by GameTomo Inc, which continues to touch many people. They are currently at work on the soundtrack for Glaciered, a PC game which is in development at Studio Snowbird.

This programme is organised by Powell Street Festival Society with support from Canada Council for the Arts, H. R. MacMillan Space Centre, Nikkei National Museum & Cultural Centre, and Mission Clarke Theatre.
