As the 48th Annual Powell Street Festival comes to a close, we want to extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who made this year’s event a resounding success.

Gathering once again in Oppenheimer Park and Paueru Gai, we celebrated Japanese Canadian culture through high-quality arts, performances, and community activities. From exhilarating sumo wrestling matches to delectable Japanese food booths, every moment was filled with joy and cultural pride.

A special shoutout goes to our amazing volunteers. From festival setup to takedown, our volunteers were there every step of the way. They are the heart and soul of the event, and we can’t thank them enough for their incredible dedication and hard work.

We’d also like to thank our sponsors, vendors, artists, and performers for their unwavering support and contributions. Your involvement helped make this festival an unforgettable experience for everyone.

For those who couldn’t attend, don’t worry! Our “Festival Connect” programme brings the sights and sounds of the festival to your home screen. Check out our YouTube page for a recap of the festivities and more.

While the festival weekend has come to an end, our commitment to promoting Japanese Canadian culture continues year-round. Stay tuned for upcoming programmes and events designed to keep our vibrant community connected and engaged.

Thank you once again for your support, and we look forward to seeing you next year at the 49th Annual Powell Street Festival!
